China Glaze - Bottoms Up (Neon Pink)

Bottoms Up, a neon pink that is more pink than my review on Neon & On & On, is also part of China Glaze's Sunsational Neon Collection summer collection.

This pink is much more of a standard neon pink you find.

( with flash  )

( with flash )

✓ Its a true pink neon, more pink than coral.
It really is a neon colour
The creme texture is a nice touch to it - the best way to describe it is matte, but its not really matte. For sure though, it isn't glossy with mega-shine.

✗ The formula isn't the best - it streaks a little so 2 coats are required. You can't be too fussy with the way it comes out.

Gold OPI Comparisions - Up Front & Personal vs. Glitzerland

OPI releases many shades of Gold annually so I decided to compare the differences between.

Up Front & Personal is a sheer golden-champagne colour with a silver shimmer. The micro-glitter polish makes the whole colour sheer when applied. I used two coats

( without flash, where the gold-champagne colour is more obvious )

Glitzerland is a foil finish gold metallic, with a gold shimmer. In person, its a mixture between the standard yellow gold & champagne gold.

  ( i used one coat here )

( My thumb, index and middle finger i used only one coat. Two coats on my ring finger & pinky )

To compare:
On my pinky & middle finger - Glitzerland
On my index & ring finger - Up Front & Personal

As you can see, Up Front & Personal is more of a champage gold/silvery-gold, whereas Glitzerland is a more traditional gold. Personally, I prefer Up Front & Personal because its more unique and less common than Glitzerland - its a champagne gold that is done well by OPI.

OPI - Pedal Faster Suzi

Pedal Faster Suzi is part of OPI's Spring 2012 Holland collection. It's a light baby pink with silver shimmer, and its a very soft pink that is office safe too, as its not very attention-grabbing-in-your-face sort of loud colour. It's basically a nice pink-ier version of your normal nail pink, with silver shimmer. I used two coats overall.

( only one coat, as you can see its a bit see-through )

( Pictured with two coats. Applying three coats will give you a more nice brighter baby pink☺
However its hard to completely capture the colour here, so in person, its a mixture between this photo and the last photo!  )

( with flash in an indoor room )

✓ This is a soft baby pink colour, that turns out well. The silver shimmer makes it more unique.
Neutral colour resulting in matching a lot of your outfits.
Flattering on  (as its the pink-ier version of your natural nail state)

✗ Formula wise, its a little thin so your nail line is still visible at one coat only
I had some trouble applying it on my thumb as it tends to streak a little on wider surface, but with my other nails it was fine.

OPI - Ate Berries In The Canaries

Ate Berries In The Canaries (a review)

Like the name of this OPI shade suggests, this shade is a berry sort of purple. With it being a warm colour, it flatters both fair and darker olive skin tones alike. This is the traditional OPI colours, so there is no sparkles or shimmers in this one. I only used two coats in the pictures shown below.

( in an indoor room with flash )

( in the shadow )

Personally I wear a lot of rings, and I find that pink/purple-y berry shades goes well with my gold rings.

✓ Goes on smooth with the signature OPI brush
Very rich colour, a true berry colour just like the name suggests
    Smooth texture
Great colour option for a pedicure - goes with most neutral shoe colours

✗ Slightly hard to get remove at the sides of the nail, as its a berry colour so it stands out a LOT even if at the tiniest edge.

Personal Favourite Shade - OPI Pompeii Purple

Personal Favourite Shade - OPI Pompeii Purple

This shade is a personal favourite of mine - its a deep, mature fuchsia pink that leans towards the purple-y side, and with the slight gold tones, suits my warm skin tone.

Application is really easy, the pictures below only required one coat!

( with flash in an indoor room )

( it goes really well and matches exactly to the Chanel Lipstick in Suspense )
( the pink tone shown here is the most true to form colour here!! )

✓Applies on really well, great formula.
   Intense shade
   Suits fair/warm skin tones well
Brush applies nicely in one smooth application

OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand collection

OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand Collection

Recently, OPI has teamed up with EON partners to release 6 Bond inspired shades. Taking cue and inspiration from older Bond movies, they are all named after iconic Bond girls. All of them in this range  are OPI's Liquid Sand formula.

(L-R): Solitaire, Honey Ryder, Tiffany Case, Pussy Galore, Jinx, Vesper

I have two shades myself: Jinx & Pussy Galore.

Pussy Galore is a light baby pink with a darker pink shimmer to it. The Liquid Sand gives it a beautiful sheen. Here I used two coats

( in the shade )

Jinx is a coral red and features a gold shimmer. Red-wise it leans toward the coral/orange side, so it isn't an intense vampy red. I used two coats.

( in the shade )

✓ The formula in this collection is great, two coats max is only needed.
The new Liquid Sand formula is really unique, its basically really fine bits of sand that adds a nice texture to the colour.
The shimmer sets a good undertone
Really durable - I'm a bit reckless when it comes to maintaining the nail colour in one whole, so after a week, you could only see tiny chips at the edge of the nail.

✗ Slightly harder to remove than the original OPI formula.
